Albert Hildesheimer
Listed in the Manchester trade directory for 1876 as “..importer of fancy and transfer prints” at 13 Shudehill. By 1880 he was resident in London and occupied business premises at 41 Jewin Street. The same address was used for the new enterprise, Hildesheimer & Faulkner (H&F), when he formed a partnership with Charles William Faulkner in 1881.
The H&F publishing concern was dissolved by mutual consent in December 1893 with Albert Hildesheimer continuing on his business activities at New Zealand Avenue, London.
Cards are identified by “A. Hr” or “Albert Hildesheimer” printed on front of card.
